The Runners Diet

It has been some time since I posted anything new on this page and rightfully so. I recently ran 31 km to raise awareness for stroke survivors since I am one as well. I needed to train hard and eat amazingly well. The run went fantastically well and all those who joined me succeeded in accomplishing their own personal distances. I was never more proud of a group of people than I was of them! Here is a little break down of some foods that I ate on a regular basis.

1. whole wheat bagels with peanut butter
2. steel cut oats for breakfast
3. mixed greens (juiced) with beets and apple juice.
4. bananas with vega pre workout and post workout (at approp. times)
5. whole wheat pasta with tuna
6. Flax seeds (grounded) with blueberries and other berries
7. oranges, pears, pineapple, dates
8. Quinoa, quinoa and more quinoa
9. Cooking in general because it does make you unbelievably happy ;)
10. Chicken with rice (whole wheat mixed with white rice) mixed vegetables (stir fry)
